Poison Information Centre is a workgroup unit of National Agency of Drug and Food Control which is actively searching and collecting data/information of poison and preparing them as information which is valid and also ready to use to be given to wide public, pharmaceutical profession and also government/other institutions which have the needs.

Services which are given ::

1. Information and direction either direct or indirect about steps for handling poisoned victim.
2. Information about poison prevention.
3. Information about poison effect and danger to health which is related to serious poison state.

Poison Information is given to wide public, pharmaceutical profession and goverment/other institution which need the information in order to prevent, decrease the risk, and handling poison specifically about first aid to poison cases.

POISON INFORMATION CENTRE NATIONAL AGENCY OF DRUG AND FOOD CONTROL is serving poison information to public for free.

• Which substances can cause poisoning
• How much substances that caused the poisoning
• What are the symptoms
• How old is the victim
• How much weight of the victim
• How long the poisoning has started
• Does the victim have any other health problems
• Is the victim under any medical treatment.
• Where is the poisoning location
• What is your home telephone number.

1. Poison danger which is caused by chemicals/natural substance which can cause poisoning such as : home pesticides, agriculture pesticides, chemicals, food, drugs, traditional medicines, cosmetics, plants and poison animals, etc.
2. First Aid to poisoning.
3. Prevention to poisoning.
